Downloading and saving references | - 1. Make your selection in the database PubMed
- 2a. To save all retrieved records, goto 3
or - 2b. Mark relevant titles by checking off the box in front of the titles, goto 3
- 3. Select the format MEDLINE from the Display pull-down menu
- 4. Select File from the Send to pull-down menu
- 5. On the File Download screen: choose 'Save'
- 6a. On the Save As screen: choose a subdirectory on your disk
- 6b. On the Save As screen: choose a name and add the extension '.txt'
- 6c. On the Save As screen: Save as Type: 'All Files'
- 6d. then click Save on the Save As screen
- 7. After downloading, click Close
The saved text file is the one to use for importing into Reference Manager - Start Reference Manager
- Open or create a database
- Click File| Import Text File
In the 'Import Text File' window: - Select RM database
- Select Filter: PubMed-tue.cap
- Select the downloaded text file
- Select the reference range
- Click Import
