The Eindhoven Energy Institute is all about sustainable energy, seeking innovative alternatives and sparing the environment. Research at EEI will help pave the way towards a sustainable society.
Because many roads lead to this energy future, EEI is exploring a broad spectrum of technologies. In the short term, EEI expects to generate novel technologies for more sustainable use of existing resources. This research focuses on the built environment and fuels. For the medium term, we are exploring more widespread use of solar cells. And for the longer term, we are studying fusion.
Energy research at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) ranks among the best in the world.
The establishment of EEI in 2010 reflects a strong commitment to further strengthening our research. EEI brings together 27 research groups, with over 150 energy scientists.
Eindhoven is strongly embessed in industry and international research networks. TU/e is a co-location of the European energy program EIT KIC InnoEnergy.
