Staff Mobility

TU/e is much aware of the fact that staff exchanges and staff visits are prerequisites for international co-operation. Therefore, the university promotes exchange and visits to other universities and welcomes staff from abroad. Unfortunately, the funds for outgoing staff mobility are rather limited. Staff interested in spending a substantial period abroad is requested to contact DPO in order to find out what can be done.

The Erasmus programme provides support for teachers giving short courses as part of the official curriculum of a partner university in another European country.

The grants are intended as a contribution to the additional costs arising from teaching in another country. An Erasmus grant can be obtained if the TU/e teacher fulfills the following components:

  • Is a national of a country participating in the Erasmus programme, or an individual recognized by the Dutch government in which he/she is resident as refugee, stateless person of permanent resident
  • Is an employee of the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven
  • Will teach during 5 teaching days at a minimum or during 8 teaching hours at a minimum
  • Will not apply for other scholarships or grants awarded through the European Union programmes in the same period
  • Will not use the Erasmus grant for the same expenses where he/she gets compensation for by an other grant.

Grants will only be awarded:

  • for teaching staff mobility to institutions that have signed bilateral Erasmus agreements with the TU/e in specific subject areas
  • after approval of the TU/e Erasmus Department Co-ordinator.

The Institutional Erasmus Co-ordinator is:
