  • TU/e can mediate in finding housing for international (staff and students).
  • TU/e will try to mediate in finding housing via Vestide (non-commercial housing corporation of the city of Eindhoven). If Vestide cannot supply suitable accommodation, TU/e will contact commercial housing agencies. Please note in that in the latter case the guest will have to pay a mediation fee to the housing agency and that the rent via these agencies is higher than the rent via Vestide.
  • In order to be able to guarantee that housing is available on your arrival, the application form for housing needs to be at STU/IO at least two months before your arrival.
  • You can change the information on the application form up to one month before your arrival by contacting the International Relations Office (io@remove-this.tue.nl). After this date, rent will be charged as from the date of reservation, even if you arrive later.
  • TU/e will try to find housing that meets the preferences stated on your application form.
  • The TU/e housing service is a blind-date arrangement, which means that you cannot view the accommodation beforehand. You are however able to preview your accommodation from the outside through Google maps as TU/e supplies you with the full address within x weeks before your arrival.
  • A few weeks before your arrival date you will receive an e-mail with your new address in Eindhoven, information on your rent and deposit, on how to pay these costs, and on when and where you can collect your keys.
  • In exceptional cases the TU/e will not be able to guarantee that housing is available for you on the exact date mentioned on your application. In that case we advise you to book a hotel.
  • Staff will receive a rental agreement for the duration of their stay with a maximum of 12 months.
  • Bachelor and master students will recieve a rental agreement for the duration of one year, starting in August.
  • Exchange students receive a rental agreement for the duration of 1 or 2 semesters.
  • You can apply for a renewal of your contract. You need a permission letter from TU/e to apply for the renewal. If you are a student you can request this letter by Mrs. Peggy van de Voort (p.v.d.voort@remove-this.tue.nl). You need to take the letter to Vestide at least six weeks before the end date of your rental agreement. If you are an employee/guest you can request the letter from TU/e at your personnel department.
  • You can stay in your accommodation for a maximum period of two months after your commitment to TU/e has ended.
