If you have a Dutch HBO bachelor degree you are not necessarily able to automatically start a Master’s program at the TU/e.
Transition minor
If you have followed a transition minor you are eligible to start a corresponding Master’s program at the TU/e. A transition minor is a program whereby a student has already followed a number of (preparatory) courses at the TU/e. Students wishing to follow the TU/e Master’s programs Innovation Management and Operations Management and Logistics are, however, required to follow a transition program (see below). Applied Physics and Industrial Design do not yet offer transition minors.
HBO transition programs (schakelprogramma’s)
If you have not followed a transition minor and wish to study for a TU/e master degree, this may be possible by first following a so-called “HBO schakelprogramma”- a transition program
Not all transition programs are taught in English and not all departments offer transition programs. Check with the appropriate TU/e department to see if a transition program in English is offered for the program of your choice
You must have successfully completed your HBO program before you can be considered for admission to a transition program. The discipline of your HBO program will also determine which TU/e transition programs you may apply to. If you cannot find your discipline in TU/e Program Chooser, contact the student advisor for the TU/e Master’s program you are interested in. Once you have successfully completed the transition program you will be granted admission to a Master’s program.
