PubMed

Biomedical

Search by means of managed keywords (MeSHeadings)

PubMed is a database containing references to articles in journals on biomedical science, nursery and dentistry.
PubMed is produced by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and is freely accessible on the Internet.

Pubmed includes all Medline references, but also in-process citations and records, and some general-interest journals. Records 'supplied by Publisher'.

The database goes back to approx. 1950 and contains over 17 million references.
PubMed also includes quite recent references, which have not yet been assigned MeSH Terms. They may be recognized by the designation [PubMed in process]. After attachment of MeSH Terms the designation changes to [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]. There are various basic search options. The 'automatic mapping' function supports the search process. Furthermore, there are various additional PubMed Tools like Citation Matcher and Clinical Queries. See the manual for detailed information about the search options. PubMed is the most widely used database in the medical field.

Medline via OvidSP

Biomedical

Search by means of managed keywords (MeSHeadings)

Medline contains articles from journals on biomedical science, nursery and dentistry.

Medline via OvidSP interface. This offers better and more precise search options, and options for saving information. The two database mentioned below share this same interface.
