WorldCat is a combined catalogue of approx. 18,000 participating OCLC libraries worldwide.

WorldCat does not only include catalogue records from great institutions as the Library of Congress (USA), and the national libraries of the United Kingdom, Finland, the Netherlands and Singapore, but also of small public libraries, libraries of art museums, historical societies etc. WorldCat includes both descriptive entries of the catalogued items, as well as indications where the items may be found.
