About the TU/e Repository

Each year, TU/e staff and students bring forth approximately a thousand scientific publications. These journal articles, textbooks, book chapters, conference papers, academic orations, dissertations and masters' theses are all kept in the TU/e Repository. Beside these publications, the repository also includes publications released under auspices of TU/e, like the yearly reports. The TU/e Repository now comprises over 100,000 full-text publications.

Access to full text
In by far most cases you will find full-text electronic versions of publications in the TU/e Repository.  These electronic versions are offered to the general public as often as possible (open acces). If a publisher does not permit Open Access the electronic version will be available campus-only. This means only TU/e staff and students who are logged into the TU/e Network may view the full text of publications, while those who wish to view the text but who are not connected to TU/e will be referred to the electronic versions on the publishers' website.

Uploading your publications into the Repository TU/e

Read more (including manual) about uploading your publications into the TU/e Repository on page Contributions. On this page you will also find the link to Personal Metis, which you may use for contributing your own publications to the TU/e Repository.

Enhancing your publications with supplementary materials

The IEC has developed an application which enables uploading so-called enhanced publications.
An enhanced publication is a 'regular' (digital) publication to which supplements as data sets, images, software coding etc. have been added.

  • To find out more about uploading supplementary materials see page Contributions.
  • Click here to read more on Enhanced Publications.

Benefits of TU/e Repository for you as author

The TU/e Repository adds to the visibility of your publications. For example, publications in the TU/e Repository may be found via the Dutch academic portal NARCIS. Your publications will also be displayed on your personal TU/e Employee page, thus making them traceable with Google.
Publications are placed in institutional repositories (IRs) on a permanent basis. If a staff member leaves TU/e - and his employee page is removed - his or her publications will remain available and accessible via the TU/e Repository.
