The database Cursor / Matrix contains references to articles published in the following periodicals:

• Cursor (formerly TH-berichten): the weekly news magazine of the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (TU/e). It first appeared in 1956.
• Matrix: a quarterly magazine, mainly with background articles about research and education at the TU/e.
• Mededelingen van de Technische Hogeschool Eindhoven: a publication like Matrix. It appeared in the years 1956-1964.

The database is updated after appearance of each new issue of Cursor and Matrix, and contains over 25,000 references. Each reference mentions an article's title, its author, names of persons mentioned or quoted in that article, and its source (name periodical, volume, issue). Most articles are indexed by subject terms.

Several categories of articles, like short announcements and book reviews, are omitted. As Cursor is available in full text http://www.tue.nl/cursor from 1995 onwards, only articles about matters concerning the TU/e have been entered in the database since 1999.

Direct links from references in this database to the full text of articles are made if full text is available.

The printed versions of the three periodicals are stored in the library stackroom (Bibliotheek Magazijn). The stackroom is located in the basement of the Main Building (HG -1) and is equipped with a photocopier.
