To ensure a calm and pleasant study atmosphere, and to keep the library tidy, please observe the following house rules:
Lockers
The Library provides lockers for storage of bags, coats etc. at the central library and at the department libraries.
Keys to the lockers can be obtained at the library information desks, or at the reception desks of the respective buildings. The keys are to be returned the same day. In case keys are lost or not returned customers are charged a fee of € 27.-.
Notebook bags may be taken to study seats, make sure these cause no disturbance to anyone else. Use of lockers for storage of personal belongings is strongly recommended. Do not leave valuable objects in the reading room unattended. The Library takes no responsibility for lost property.
Order and peace
The Library is a place where visitors must be able to study in peace and quiet. Therefore :
Computer workstations
For use of computer facilities and facilities for data exchange the general TU/e regulations for use of computers apply.
Vandalism and theft
Please handle books, journals, computers and furniture with care. Staff can deny persons access to the Library in case of misbehaviour, misuse of facilities or theft. Persons who cause damage will be charged for the expenses.
Books and journals are secured against theft.
Library staff is authorized to search bags and coats.
