Printing and saving results

Printing or saving search results from a file installed on the Citrix server works differently and is somewhat more complicated.

  • Select print option in database
  • Select printer Acrobat PDFWriter. [Sometimes no option is presented and this printer is selected automatically.] Your print command will now first be saved as a pdf file. The screen below, or something similar, will be displayed:

Save

Fill out screen Save PDF file as

File name: enter name of file to be saved

Click arrow after Save in: <My documents> and browse to C or D drive of your PC or to your network drive (G:\)

Note : C drive on your PC is now named: C$ on 'Client' (V:), D drive is named: D$ on 'Client' (U:). See screen below.

Find your network G drive by subsequently double-clicking:

My Network Places, Entire Network, Client Network, Client, \Client\G$

Note: don't be misled by displayed folder like 'My documents' or 'Local Disk (C:)'. These are related to the Citrix server and have nothing to do with any 'My documents' folder of your own or with your PC's hard disk

PDF file

Click Save. You have now saved your print command as a pdf file.

To actually print the saved pdf file, you must look up the file and select it with a double click. The Acrobat programme is activated. Print the file using this programme.
