Citrix-Ica Client

The Library has installed part of its information retrieval systems on a Citrix server. Citrix is platform-independent, Unix and Linux users may also gain access to databases installed on the Citrix server. Citrix databases can be recognized by their icon.

Before viewing Citrix databases, install Citrix-ICA client software on your PC.

This procedure needs to be carried out only once. Databases will from then on start up immediately.

What if you see a text file, but database does not start up?
Each time you open a Citrix database, the programme checks if an ICA Web client is installed on your PC.
If not, text file below will appear. Install Citrix Ica Client (see above)

  Some recommendations:

  • Before installing Ica client, empty your browser's memory cache.
  • After installing Ica client, close browser and restart
  • The browser's pop-up blocker may cause Citrix client not to be installed. Switch it off before installing Citrix client.
