1. The bank won't let me open a bankaccount. They say I need a BS- number first.
   
   

Banks will ask you for your BSN (Citizen Service Number). You will receive this number from Town Hall (about one week after registration).
But our university is able to open a bank account for your (at RABObank) before you get to the Netherlands. When you arrrive in the Netherlands it is just a matter of paying one brief visit to RABObank in order to activate your bank account. As soon as you have received your BSN, please inform your bank.

Please note that the account at RABObank does not have a credit facility. This implicates that you won't be able to get a credit card.
