The introduction of the new WIA (Work and Income according to Labour Capacity Act) means that people who have partial incapacity to work and are unemployed may be faced with a substantial drop in income, even down to supplementary benefit level.

In consultation with the employee representation bodies, the TU/e has therefore taken out a collective IPAP (Supplementary Invalid Pension Plan) incapacity insurance for its employees with Loyalis. This insurance guarantees a minimum of 70% of the income in case of partial incapacity in combination with unemployment. This insurance in principle covers all TU/e employees from 1-8-2007.

The insurance is free of charge for employees.

There is also the option to insure income for full incapacity. This insurance you can choose individual with Loyalis. As a TU / e employee you get 20% discount on the premium.
Information about the incapacity insurance IPAP is available on the website of Loyalis (only in dutch; you could use google translate)
