Introduction

Many new international colleagues who join the TU/e travel to Eindhoven accompanied by their spouse / partner. Or they are joined by them later.

Traveling abroad with your working spouse / partner can come with some challenges, especially if you don't have a job yourself yet.

The TU/e offers a program to help the international spouses / partners cope with some of these challenges.

The costs for this program are paid for by the university. As yet the program is only available for accompanying women.

Get-in-Touch program

The program we offer is called the 'Get-in-Touch program'.

The program lasts roughly 3 months and consists of weekly meetings. The two main aims of the program are:

  • to get to know other international spouses / partners @TU/e
  • To learn more about the city of Eindhoven

You take part in this program in a small group, of roughly 5 participants.

Each group is hosted by a local or by an international with long lasting experience in the Netherlands.

Indigo World

The Get-in-Touch program is carried out by 'Indigo World', a bureau dedicated to strengthening the connections between people from different cultures.

The program was designed in close cooperation between Indigo World and TU/e.

As yet ladies only
As yet this Get-in-Touch program is 'ladies only'.

If you are a male spouse / partner of a new international TU/e employee and you're interested to have a similar program, TU/e will be happy to see what we can do for you.

English language
The language of Get-in-Touch program is English.

That is another way of saying: for you to experience the full benefit of the program it works best if the participants speak English at an elementary conversation level and up.
