When an employee doesn't feel fit to work (because of illness or an accident) he/she needs to report ill before before 10.00 a.m. He/she needs to do this with the person who has been appointed by the Head of the department. The same goes for reporting of recovery

In case of exceptions this needs to be mentioned when reporting ill.
Excptions are:

• Complaints because of an accidents;
• Complaints because of pregnancy or delivery;
• Complaints because of organ donation;
• Hospitalization;
• Residence in a nursing home;
• Secret phone number (needs to be available for the Arbo service)

Around the 5th day of illness Arbo Unie will make contact by telephone with the sick employee to gain information. According to this information further action will be taken in consultation with the company doctor.

When the absence because of illness will be protracted (= longer than 6 weeks) we will have to deal with the Law "Verbetering Poortwachter".
