A new CAO (Central Labor Agreement) for the Dutch universities has been introduced from 1 February 2013. In this article we take a look what has changed, and what this means for you as a TU/e employee. The new CAO covers the period from 1 January 2011 to 1 January 2014. Up to now the nationwide criteria set by the tax authorities have made it virtually impossible for international PhD students to make use of the 30% facility. But a change in these criteria now makes it easier from 2012 for PhD students to apply for the facility. TU/e has therefore decided to make the facility available for PhD students from 2013.Read more
