Starting from 2007, Dienst ICT offers its entire Exchange
infrastructure via "Exchange on Demand".

The Exchange applications run on a number server clusters. All student
and employee mail is stored centrally on a NetApp (FAS3050C filer). Filers of this kind can store data very efficiently, so that it is
available quickly when needed.

Security

Dienst ICT is responsible for backing up the entire environment and
restoring it in case of calamities. The faculties are responsible for
the day-to-day management of their own part of the environment.
