Moving Exchange mailbox and NT account

When a TU/e employee moves to a different department, a number of
things need to be moved as well. Among these things are the employee's
Exchange Mailbox and NT account.

Requests for such moves should be submitted to the Dienst ICT Servicedesk. The Dienst ICT WINS group will then contact the IT managers of the
relevant departments and coordinate the move with the user.

Notes:

  • Outlook may not be running while the mailbox is moved. Because of
    this, the employee who is moving is contacted in advance. It is
    possible to indicate with the move request what the best time for
    the move will be, for example on a morning or afternoon when the
    employee is not at work.
  • After the mailbox is moved, the Outlook profile on the employee's PC
    needs to be adapted. This will usually be done by an IT employee of
    the relevant department.

The request to move a mailbox will usually be made by the IT manager
of the department the employee is moving to. However, it is also
possible for users to submit such a request themselves.
