Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010, Service Pack 1

Employees and students are permitted to use this software within the TU/e campus ground. This means that a workstation must have been purchased through the TU/e.

Software can be ordered at Surfspot.nl for workstations that do not meet these conditions.

Office 2010 includes the following products:
Access (database), Excel (spreadsheets), InfoPath (information processing), OneNote (notes), Outlook (email and calendar), PowerPoint (presentation), Publisher (publication), SharePoint Workspace (synchronize SharePoint sites with your pc), Visio viewer (view Visio drawings) and Word (word processor).

By choosing the “Customize” option during the installation you can choose which products you would like to install.

  • To reduce compatibility problems it is recommended to first uninstall any previous Office versions before installing this version.
  • Office 2010 is available as a 32-bit installation as well as a 64-bit installation.
    Be aware that it is not possible to install the 64-bit version of office 2010 if you operating system does not support 64bit instructions!
  • To be certain that office 2010 can be installed without problems the following minimal system requirements have been set:
    • Processor: 1.5 GHZ
    • Internal memory: 1 GB
    • Required disk space: 4 GB
    • Video: Videocard with Directx 9c support and a minimum of 64 MB dedicated memory.

Dutch Language Pack

Office 2010 is installed with an English menu layout by default. If (for any reason) you prefer a Dutch menu, this can be achieved by installing the language pack below. During the installation you can choose for which office product you want the language pack to be installed
The following products are supported:

  • Office 2010
  • Project 2010
  • Visio 2010

Install the Dutch Language Pack 32-bit 
Install the Dutch Language Pack 64-bit

Activate the language pack via Start >> All Programs >> Microsoft Office >> Microsoft Office 2010 Tools >> Microsoft Office 2010 language Preferences.

Microsoft Office 2007, Service Pack 3

Office 2007 is an extensive package of programs and exists of the following parts: Word (word processor), Excel (spreadsheets), PowerPoint (presentations), Access (databases), Outlook (e-mail and calendar), Publisher (publications) , InfoPath (information processing), Groove (collaboration environment for teams to work together), OneNote (one place to gather notes and information) and Visio Viewer (view Visio drawings and diagrams)

During setup you can choose which parts you want to install.

Installation

Install MS Office 2007.

Update

After the installation you should bring the programs up to date via the Microsoft Office Downloads page. On that page click on Check for Updates and wait for the Updates list to appear. As a rule you should install all suggested updates.

From any Office 2003 program you can call the Downloads page by choosing Help | Check for Updates.

 

Language Pack for MS Office 2007

Language Packs for the 2007 Microsoft Office system allow users to create and edit files in different languages, and change menus and help to those languages.
The installation of the language pack is divided into 2 seperate modules. Click on the links below to see the available language, then click on "install"

Microsoft Office 2003 / Microsoft FrontPage 2003

Office 2003 combines the following parts: Word (word processor), Excel (spreadsheets), PowerPoint (presentations), Access (databases), Outlook (e-mail and calendar), Publisher (publications) , InfoPath (information processing).
During setup you can choose which parts you want to install, though it is easiest to install everything.

Frontpage 2003 is a program for creating web pages and managing web sites. It really is also a part of Office, even though you must install it separately.

  • There are different ways of installing. You are advised to choose Complete Install.

Installation

Install MS Office 2003.

Install MS FrontPage 2003.
Of course this is only necessary if you want to create web pages with FrontPage.

Update

After the installation you should bring the programs up to date via the Microsoft Office Downloads page. On that page click on Check for Updates and wait for the Updates list to appear. As a rule you should install all suggested updates.
Among the suggested updates is Service Pack 3. You should make a habit of checking for updates regularly. From any Office 2003 program you can call the Downloads page by choosing Help | Check for Updates.

Service Pack 3 is also available via the installation server. This service pack includes updates previously released for Office 2003.

Proofing Tools for MS Office 2003

Office 2003 Proofing Tools exist for 51 languages; they also work in FrontPage 2003. They enable you to enlarge the number of languages in which you can check spelling and grammar. Install Proofing Tools for MS Office 2003.
The most convenient installation method is as follows. Choose Custom Install and click on next. During installation a list of the above mentioned languages appears. Now click immediately to the left of the language you want. A pop-up menu appears. Here select Run all from My Computer. After that, click on Install.
