McAfee VirusScan 8.8 Enterprise Edition

Good anti-virus software is an absolute must nowadays.

Installing this program alone is not sufficient. It is equally important that the program always has the latest data files at its disposal. McAfee releases a new version of these files almost every day. Below you will find a link with which you can manually download the most recent files.

  • McAfee VirusScan 8.8 Enterprise will work with Windows 2000 (SP4), XP, Vista and Windows 7 and uses system resources more efficient. For more information, see the "What's New" document.
  • With version 8.8 comes the integrated Spyware-Module. (installed as a seperate module in version 8.7i)

Stinger

Some viruses disable the anti-virus software. If you are no longer able to start your virus scanner, you should try Stinger. This is a removal tool by McAfee, which removes a limited number of frequently occurring viruses and their variants.
To obtain the latest version you must connect to McAfee's Stinger page. There you can learn how to download and start the program.
Upon termination your PC should be cleansed to the extent that you can start your regular anti-virus software again.

The McAfee AntiSpyware Enterprise Module is an add-on to the VirusScan Enterprise 8.7i product
that extends its ability to detect and take action on potentially unwanted spyware and cookies.
