Installation Notes

The setup program will first show the message "This setup will install Enterprise Dynamics Developer 8.0.0 1613". After clicking the "Next" button, the remaining part will proceed automatically. During installation some windows might popup and close again, this is normal behaviour.

The setup will be finished successfully when you see the message "Your Enterprise Dynamics License has been updated" on your screen.

Program Usage

When starting the program, it will always show the message "This license is for educational purposes only...". If you receive a different message, like "Evaluation License only" , please uninstall the program and rerun the setup.
After confirming this message, a dialog box will show asking for an "ED Application". Please select "Enterprise Dynamics" and click the "Open" button.

For technical questions about the installation, please contact "Servicedesk Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences". Questions about the program itself can be directed to the instructor(s).

Known issues

On some Windows Vista installations, the program shows the error message:
"Could not open file ‘C:\Users\templateusr\AppData\Roaming\EDWORK\ed.his"

You can solve this by choosing a different Work directory:

  1. Start Enterprise Dynamics
  2. Choose from the menu File -> Preferences
  3. Select Directory and choose a different location for the Work directory, which is writable (e.g. a folder on the D:\ partition).
