CutePDF Writer 2.8

CutePDF enables you to convert arbitrary documents to Portable Document Format (PDF), a standard format for distributing electronic documents. Using it is very simple: the program installs itself as a printer. From any program in which you can print, you can henceforth also create PDF-files.

CutePDF Writer is a freeware program.

  • If you already have a previous version of CutePDF Writer installed, it's also advisable to remove it (via Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs). If is also advisable to remove any version of AFPL Ghostscript.
  • This version works with Windows 7.


Installation

The program uses Ghostscript's PS2PDF-converter. (Ghostscript is freeware as well.) This program will be automatically downloaded and installed during the installation of CutePDF.

Use

CutePDF Writer acts like a printer. If for instance you want to convert a Word document to pdf-format, then inside Word choose File | Print, select “CutePDF Writer” as your printer en click on OK. You will be prompted to give the name of the output file.
