Through the links on this page you can install a large part of the so-called “campus-software” in a simple way. Campus-software is software that we may distribute freely over the TU/e.
One way of installing that software is using the CD's, which can be obtained partly at Surfspot and partly at the Dienst ICT Goods of the Department of ICT.
Alternatively, a substantial part of the software can also be installed from the installation server and this is a much simpler method when your computer is connnected to the TU/e network. This web page is an interface to the installation server. The table above gives an overview of the software that is available from that server.
You can install the software from the installation server only if you have logged in to the NT domain “TUE”.
Installation of software over a modem can take a very long time. For installation at home a CD is more suitable, unless you have a fast connection to the TU/e network.
The text Software op de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven provides more information on the campus-software; that text also lists the software that you cannot install from the server. (The license terms of each product stipulate whether or not this is allowed: it is only allowed for software for which we have a so-called “normative license”.)
