On-campus IT workplace.
Dienst ICT (Dienst Informatie- en Communicatietechnologie, or
Information and Communication Services) offers support for notebook,
PC and open workplaces on the campus.
Dienst ICT offers IT facilities for students, in particular:
General facilities at the ICTHeek.
ICTheek, which can be found in De Hal 1.47, phone nr. 4481, offers roughly 150 workplaces for use by TU/e students and employees. This includes over 100 notebook connection points and 40 Windows systems (with network print
facilities for A4 paper). There are also possibilities for plotting, scanning and copying.
Support at the Notebook Service Centre
Dienst ICT also offers IT facilities for employees of the central
service departments. Support is offered in the following areas:
Employees of the service departments can contact the Dienst ICT
Information and Service Desk in case of questions or problems with the
IT facilities.
The LGO team (Lokale Gebruikers Ondersteuning, or On-site user
support) is available for on-site support at the central service
departments and at TU/e related institutions that have a support
agreement with Dienst ICT. For more information, please contact the
LGO coordinator: Marian de Vaan, LG 1.89, tel. 4525. The LGO team is assisted by the employees of the Dienst ICT BackOffice groups, who have specialist knowledge of the IT facilities.
