The core activity of the Notebook Service Center is to make sure that
users of a notebook that has been purchased via the TU/e notebook plan
have access to a working notebook (both software and hardware) for 5
years.

The NSC also provides support during the annual allotment of notebooks
to students and takes care of the distribution of individual notebooks
through the year.The NSC makes it possible for faculties and  (not to
employees privately!) to take part every year in the notebook plan under
the same conditions as students (with the exception of the financial
support from central funds).

Other tasks

The NSC also helps students who have problems with dialup and network
connections. This is not limited to students who own a notebook
purchased via the TU/e notebook plan, but also extends to students from
generations before the notebook plan.
