About Startup Weekend
Startup Weekend is an intense 54 hour event which focuses on going from a high tech, design, web or mobile business idea into a prototype, market strategy or business case over the course of a weekend.

The weekend brings together people with different, complementary skillsets - primarily technological experts, designers, researchers, developers and business people – who turn ideas into startups.

Startupweekend Eindhoven takes place at Strijp-S on June 1, 2 & 3. More information and registration on www.startupweekendeindhoven.nl

Winners 2011
Children once again playing outside en masse… how do you achieve that in today’s digital world? There’s a simple solution to this problem according to Team Fairy Tale, the big winner of the second edition of Startup Weekend Eindhoven: use recognizable images from fairytales and project these into the environment with a mobile application. During the 54 hours this initial idea from TU/e alumni Stefan Zwegers and Niek Otten developed into a real business and the team walked away with a prize package worth € 10,000! The team, nowadays called Storioes, currently builts several software modules. Some of which turned out to be well applicable for an extra product: an EK(European Championship) app that will be available in the app store in two weeks.
