More girls interested in studying at TU/e

The fact TU/e has seen a much higher number of early applications is especially thanks to a growing interest for TU/e among girls. Compared to last year, there’s been a forty-percent increase in (early) applications among girls, TU/e spokesperson Floris Ran said Thursday.

Ran thinks the extreme increase has to do with ‘the new way of communicating’. “We’re putting more emphasis on what opportunities technology has to offer, rather than focusing on technology itself. As a result, we are now reaching other people instead of just those who were already interested in technology.”
